Joe is the 2017 #ILfabCon Conference Director

Joe is a practicing educator with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education. When he is not teaching full time, he works as a consultant for progressive school districts looking to integrate 21st Century curricula. Joe specializes in training fellow educators on how to promote content-based literacy within their content areas as well as establish blended learning programs for school districts that promote student growth. Prior to joining the Illinois Flipped and Blended Learning network, Joe ran Concept Core Consulting LLC, which focused on promoting literacy comprehension through the Reading Made Easy Program. In May of 2014, his company began partnering with the nationally recognized RTI expert, Pat Quinn, to further aid in the implementation and progress monitoring of literacy skills across grades K-12. In addition to his consulting work and classroom teaching, Joe has also presented at numerous national engagements including: the 2009 National Council for the Social Studies, 2012, 2013, 2014, & 2015 Raising Student Achievement Conference, and the 2013, 2014, & 2015 National College and Career Readiness and Common Core State Standards Conference.
