Kevin is a National Board Certified Teacher who began his teaching career in 2000. For the past 13 years he has been teaching high school social studies and before that he began his career teaching elementary school.  After earning his Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Knox College in 2000, Kevin began his career teaching fifth grade social studies to students residing in the low socio-economic suburbs of Chicago. After a few years of teaching elementary school he realized his true calling was educating high school students.


Along with being recognized as a Master Teacher by the Illinois State Board of Education and earning a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Chicago, he also holds the distinction of being an Apple Teacher. After years of teaching, he truly revamped his pedagogy when he became introduced to flipped learning. A presenter at FlipCon 2016 and a regular contributor to the Flipped Learning Network, he is passionate about helping teachers advance their craft.
